I got some positive feedback last time on the music I shared, so here is another piece I really like. “Nearer my God to Thee”. I recommend good speakers or headphones for this one.

Habakkuk

Recently, I read through Habakkuk for my personal devotion. I was not very familiar with it, though I am sure I have read it before. Habakkuk is a short book, only 3 chapters long, and two verses stood out to me.

17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
—Habakkuk 3:17-18 NKJV
