In John 3:14–21, Jesus connects God's desire to save us with the reality of judgment, condemnation, and our response to the light He brings into our lives. In this first post in my new Investigating Judgment series, we'll explore why some people prefer darkness to light—and why the same Light that exposes our sin is the Light that came to save us. If you've ever felt anxious about judgment or wondered what it means to walk in the light, I invite you to explore this passage with me and discover the hope it offers.

In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve hide from God after their sin, but God comes looking for them. He confronts their wrongdoing, gives them an opportunity to respond, pronounces judgment, and offers a promise of hope. He even provides a covering for their shame. This first judgment reveals a God who takes sin seriously but has not abandoned humanity. Discover how the story of Eden points forward to God's plan of salvation and His desire to restore what sin has broken.

Read the full article: The First Judgment: What Genesis 3 Reveals About God's Character at PrMarlon.com.
